George Kollias

Legendary Greek drummer George Kollias will return to Australia in March 2015 for a series of solo performances and workshops around the country. These performances aren't “just for drummers” - any fan of music that pushes boundaries will be amazed, inspired and left in awe.

George is best known for his work with extreme metal legends Nile who are no strangers to Australia, having toured here several times over their illustrious career. George is also known for his critically acclaimed educational DVDs "Intense Metal Drumming" 1 & 2, and his latest book "The Odyssey of Double Bass Drumming”. Added to that, George’s Youtube videos have notched up millions of views.

Pushing all musical boundaries and the limits of what can be performed on the instrument, audience members will be left in awe of George’s insane abilities. George will perform a selection of Nile material, as well as debuting his own solo work for the first time to Australian audiences.

Joining George for his Sydney and Brisbane performance will be Australian drummer Dave Haley - who is best known for his work with some of the country’s most popular metal acts: Psycroptic, The Amenta, Ruins & Blood Duster. Dave will perform a selection of material from all the bands he has worked with over the years.

These workshops and performances are not to be missed! Grab your ticket now!

Psycroptic w/ Goatwhore

Having dropped five genre-defining albums since forming in 2001 The Black Dahlia Murder have made it impossible to discuss melodic death metal without the mention of their name. They are hands down (or horns up?) one of the most popular bands in the extreme metal realm, TBDM will close off their touring cycle for their monstrous 2013 release Everblack with an Australian and New Zealand tour this June!

Having last been in Australia for Soundwave 2014 which saw them as part of an epic tour package of top shelf Metal Blade acts including Gwar and Amon Amarth (and also Satyricon) TBDM crashed onto the stage with no fanfare, no intro music & no silly costumes. Just brutal, no nonsense, in your face, crushing death metal.

While delivering the punch to the face fans expect of the band, TBDM also strive to better themselves as vocalist Trevor Strnad explains, “We’ve always tried to create something that’s rooted in classic death metal but at the same time offers something fresh and new, & Everblack is everything that we collectively love about the genre,” The bands total wall of sound has pits raging from the instant they take the stage until they leach every ounce of energy from the crowd and hand it back to them ten fold. Leaving fans decimated and euphoric at the same time. Prepare to be left both decimated and euphoric when The Black Dahlia Murder return this June!
